Wedding and Gift Registry

Otis Pottery is now offering Bridal and Gift Registry.
Choose from an assortment of pottery and gifts or request a custom
order. Registrants may request a custom dinner set in either stoneware
or porcelain clay. Stoneware clay is a great option for everyday
kitchen use, and porcelain is often chosen for formal dinnerware. On
this page you will find several of the glazes you may choose from when
ordering a set of dishes and tableware. You will also find brief
descriptions of clays and special options below.
Stoneware is a type of clay body that is dense and nonabsorbent.
It is very sturdy and typically has a very earthy look. The clay is
typically speckled with different minerals and glazes will have
beautiful subtleties.
Porcelain Dishes
Porcelain
is also a nonabsorbent clay that is typically very white. The
whiteness of the clay results in brighter colors and a more elegant or
formal look. Glazes
Glazes
are made of finely ground minerals that become glassy and fuse to the
clay during the firing. We make all our own glazes at Otis
Pottery, and all are lead and barium free. They are safe to use in the
dishwasher and microwave. On-line registry
We
are now offering on-line registry for your convenience. If you agree
your items will be placed on the "On-line Registry" Page so that gift
givers may view what you have ordered. Then, they can call and order
with a credit card, and the gift will be delivered to you. Ordering from Out of Town
If
you don't live near Charlevoix you can set up an online registry.
